FAQ
What is “Get Up or Pay Up”? It is a wake-up enforcement service that imposes a pre-set penalty if you fail to wake up at the promised time and solve math problems.
What’s the deadline? You must log in and finish solving the problems within 30 minutes of your scheduled wake-up time.
I finished the problems but was still charged. Why? Even if you logged in within 30 minutes, you must complete all problems within the time limit. If you don’t, it’s treated as a failure.
Can I cancel or change the alarm? You can change your wake-up time only if you do so at least 6 hours before the scheduled time.
When is payment processed? On the 1st of every month, the results of past alarm missions are totaled and billed at once.
Can I choose the penalty amount? Yes. You can set the penalty amount, with a minimum of €4.
Are payments refundable? No. Because the service is intentionally binding, payments for missed wake-ups are non-refundable.
What are the fines used for? Fines are used to cover platform operating costs and to provide revenue for the service provider.
What difficulty are the math problems? Problems are two-digit multiplication questions (for example, 19 x 72).
How many problems are there? There are five problems, and you must answer all five correctly to be considered successful.
What happens if I enter a wrong answer? You can't move on until you enter the correct answer. If you fail to finish all problems within the time limit, it counts as a failure.
I couldn’t log in because my internet went out. What then? Personal internet outages are treated as a missed wake-up.
What if the server is down or the website has an error? If the issue is confirmed to be a service-side error, any charges for that time will be fully canceled and refunded.
What if I lose or break my phone? Because the site can be accessed from other devices, losing or breaking your phone is not accepted as a reason for cancellation or refund.
